Who we are
Combining performance, innovation and expertise across market cycles.

More than 50 years of independent thinking
Founded in 1971, Unigestion has spent more than five decades shaping forward-looking investment strategies, grounded in independent thinking, innovation and long-term partnerships. Today, Unigestion Holding One SA is a Geneva-based holding company with interests in Kepler Unigestion and U Wealth, while its private equity platform has combined with Sagard.

Entrepreneurial roots
Since Bernard Sabrier took the lead of Unigestion in 1976, the holding company has been shaped by independence, disciplined risk-taking and a long-term entrepreneurial culture.
Innovation, expertise and performance —
articulated around six words.
Curious
Relentlessly so. Hedge funds in 1985, Minimum Variance in 1997, early private equity — our edge has always come from understanding the next big trends in our industry before others do, and from the willingness to keep doing so.
Strategic
We think in terms of structure, capital, and long horizons. We act decisively when conviction and opportunity meet — and we wait, without apology, when they do not.
Patient
We have no fund clock, no quarterly drumbeat, no obligation to distribute. Our anchor shareholder is a foundation — which frees us to hold, build, and compound.
Experienced
Five decades across hedge funds, private equity, equities, and wealth management — through every market regime and every structural shift the industry has known.
Disciplined
We do less, but more deliberately. A small portfolio, a clear ownership architecture, a shareholder mindset — and the discipline to ignore what is not ours to do.
Transparent
Above all with ourselves. Transparency is how we avoid fooling ourselves and becoming too easily stubborn — a clear ownership architecture, plainly-stated relationships, and the discipline to say what we are, and what we are not.

Impact and
social responsibility.
Unigestion Holding One's controlling shareholder is the Famsa Foundation — a Swiss public-interest foundation established in 2011 to support charitable, educational, cultural, and medical work.
Independently of its controlling position in Unigestion, the Famsa Foundation also holds a strategic stake in Sagard Holdings. Bernard Sabrier is Chairman of Unigestion Holding One SA and U Wealth SA. He is also Vice Chairman of Sagard Group, Chairman of Sagard Private Equity Solutions, its Investment Committee and is also Chairman of Sagard MENA.
Because our anchor is a foundation rather than a family or a fund, we have a long-term horizon. Returns, ultimately, serve a purpose beyond the firm itself.
